Stuck in Greenpath, gimped game?

ok-ok, long story short, I get the Crystal Heart from Crystal Peak, I go back into Greenpath and toward Nailmaster Sheo.

I learn his technique and sit down at the bench, but that got me thinking, how the heck do I go back now? I used my Dreamgate inside the spine parkour to quickly teleport back there since I knew I was dying.

The upper path can't be passed: spines at the end of the corridor, I take damage after Super Dash and Dash is too short. Now that only leaves the lower path.

After the 2nd row of armored flying bugs, the ledge seems too high and I couldn't get there. I died and now a Shade is patrolling above the ledge, making extra-sure I don't get on the ledge.

Up is no, down is no. I am stuck inside a prison of needle walls. But I got a cool sword technique!........

Is my game borked or am I just terribad?

You can cancel superdash in mid flight to avoid the damage. That's how I believe you need to get back. Push the superdash button again to stop, I think.

You're not terribad, by the way. The game very rarely asks you to use that technique, and I don't believe it tells you how at any point, unless I missed it. I found it through experimentation.

Thank you, I thought you could NOT cancel Super Dash unless you slam a wall. If it was in the tutorial when you pick Crystal Heart, I missed it. The ingame item description could make note of that too.

Not knowing about this made me lose over 4000 geos.

Also, I'm guessing this was bad luck on your part (one health left perhaps?) but when I crashed into the spikes at the end of the upper path, I was placed at the end of the path afterwards. I didn't figure out how to halt superdash until much later in the game when I came across places where it was necessary and I assumed there had to be a way to cause it to happen.
