I've beaten cuphead on regular, so I can't speak for the expert mode, but a couple of the late/endgame bosses are cuphead levels of difficult, and Nightmare King Grimm seems to be harder than all of the cuphead bosses on regular. I haven't beaten him yet, so I am uncertain.
