-- And yeah, all bosses. At least now we can ignore Trial of Fools for the 100%. Platforming you can have infinite tries on with the right Charms, but bosses are still scary.
Soul Master I think will be my hardest, I'm still not great at him - and maybe Traitor Lord, though when I fought them last I didn't have Shade Cloak. It's best (I think) in Steel Soul to rush to Deepnest, grab the Tram Pass and rush to Kingdom's Edge (Brand) and get this ability as soon as possible. Makes bosses much easier... only one has to beat Hornet on the first try too...
Sure, I'm aware of it. I still mess it up horribly when I do it which is surprising because it's only one move to handle. But oddly it gives me more trouble than everything else.
Descent spell helped, though.
So when you have an area that represents what i dislike the most, as well as it being loaded with booby traps and a few foes that do 2 masks... I get paranoid.
Still, phobias cannot be fixed by charming yourself.
Aha really? That'd be useful. Sadly I had to put up with it before the update came so I had no such luxury
But yeah, phobia mixed with Steel Soul isnt the best combination
Trial of the Fool is pretty rough, but if you get the Nailmaster's Glory charm and get the timing down, you can blow through every major encounter.
Hiveblood and wall-climbing make the God Tamer kind of a joke.
Don't get me wrong, this mode is one of the hardest achievements I ever earned, but savequitting, careful planning, and the occasional mild mechanic abuse worked wonders.
I highly recommend practicing Trial of the Fool, Empty Vessel, Soul Master, Hornet II, and that one spirit in the Kingdom's Edge. The most dangerous boss is that laser bug's second encounter in the mines.
Dream bosses don't count as a death, fortunately, otherwise the Soul Tyrant would be the devil incarnate.
Most importantly, if you're down to two masks in a bad situation...reset. Always. Use that nail teleport ability and hightail it back to Dirtmouth.
I mean, yeah, you can.. but that defeats the purpose of the mode if you do that.
