Random black screen encounter

When entering another area there a tiny chance where it will black screen for a very long duration and when u click on the screen it will say "not responding".

This is super annoying since I doing a speedrun and when this happen I need to start over from the last bench I sat but the timer still counting.Any idea how to fix this?

I have this problem and looked into that, but it seem like nobody founded a solution. It disallow me to reach the hollow knight and the boss of the grimm troupe, so if somebody found a solution, I would be gratefull too.

I checking for solution this past few days but nothing seem to work.I can't even play peacefully without thinking the black screen each time I enter other area.It so frustrating

I think this happen probably because of we reducing the resolution

i once reduced the resolution and it seemed to have helped but it started again and no one has a fix for it

ive been getting a black screen everytime i go into the spirit lord's room after i beat him and tried to dream nail his corpse.

In order to work for a solution each of you need to list your specs to see if there is a common hardware/software. Include resolution and framerate settings.
Also have all of you done a verification of game files to make sure there are no problems there. A solution may not be found very easy so the more of you to list the better.

I have an athlon x4 950 a gtx 1050 2gb and 4gbs of ddr4 ram

Since you have the Nvidia card try in-stalling driver version 390.77 if you have updated to the newest drivers because when I was playing that was my driver version and had no issues. Also when you do so select custom installation --- perform clean install.

I already had this driver and even went and installed the latest but unfortunatly there were no changes

Many will say that its the AMD cpu but there are just haters and fanboys of Intel. I have a FX 8350 and a GTX 980ti so I still believe the issue is GPU or software related. Have you used a tracker like GPUZ to check the status of you usage and heat. Wouldn't hurt just to make sure and if you are using a program like that uninstall it just to make sure its not the issue.

Also even though its not related to this game read this post over just for helping tips. The last post he mentions changing some things in the Nvidia panel that may have caused his problems.
