Kinda stuck

So, after acquiring the Dream Nail and upgrading it after beating Xero, I... don't really know what to do.
I've already defated Soul Master and explored all places in the Ancient Basin that are accessible without new movement ability (Is it double jumping?) and upgraded nail for the 2nd time.
Also, don't be afraid to say spoilers, I don't mind them.

Did you already get the Crystal Heart in the Crystal Peaks? If so, you should be able to super dash west from the purchaseable bench in Ancient Basin and reach a hole to go down, which ultimately leads to Broken Vessel and double jump.

If you don't already have super dash, then definitely go to Crystal Peaks and get it.

You can also go to Royal Waterways with super dash and get acid resistance.

I'm roughly at the same point as you, a bit more advanced I'd say (currently in Kingdom's Edge). What have you explored ? If you've beaten the Ancient Basin boss, you have Royal Waterways to explore, and then Kingdom's Edge. The City of Tears keeps getting bigger, too. There's Deepnest to explore, and also a bunch of tombs of Warriors Dreams where you may go to fight more bosses to gain Essence.

So unless you've already cleared the map, I think you still got stuff to do in various places

As I already said, I've cleared only the first part of Ancient Basin. But I've already cleared Royal Waterways, except for yet unreachable places, and even defeated Dung Defender (It's ridiculous how stationary worm sack is harder to kill than tanky knight).
