Any idea of what does mean the ending of The Path of Pain?

Maybe the Pale King saw his "creations" as his children, and had some affection.

But what does the ENDING means, not the relationship between The Hollow Knight and The Pale King.
I mean what does mean when the "big" white essence appears and both turn white and dissapear, I unerstood that we just seen the moment when The White Palace was destroyed by probably The Radiance, but if The Hollow Knight survived, what is the thing sealed in The Black Egg?

That's just the memory ending, they didn't die there or anything, also the Pale King went missing, but he must have sealed the vessel before that, so that little one you see in the dream is the same as the one in the Black Egg Temple

Being called Path of Pain and all that, probs just a part of the Pale King's memories and our HK finds painful to see or something, since basically that should've been it's spot, instead of being cast back into the void while the Pale King unknowingly chose the imperfect vessel instead. i dunno
