Is there a fix to get the grimm troupe to return?

I can't believe they put in an option to remove all the Grimm Troupe content without telling you what you're actually doing

I thought it was going to be a moral choice kind of thing, side with the accordian guy or side with the leader, but no it just cut the entire DLC from the game and I can't get it back

I don't want to use someone else's save file, did the devs really put this in the game???

It doesn't "remove the DLC", it's gives you the choice between two endings, when really, it should just be merged into one ending. I'm sure Team Cherry have seen the hundreds of comments about it by now and are deciding what to do.

I mean, the way Brumm talks about "banishing" them, it should be pretty obvious. He makes it clear that you can banish or complete the ritual, and not both.

Also you can still get the sprintmaster and weaversong and dreamshield, it doesn't "cut the entire DLC from the game."

There's absolutely nothing that would have prevented the tents from remaining, with npcs standing there saying "Yay, now we can enjoy being a regular circus." In particular, cutting players out of several very good charm upgrades that also encourage farming and longer play time is a bit of a ♥♥♥♥-punch. And all with a choice that auto-saves (even if you just end the program), so once you realize your mistake you can't even back out and reload.

But that aside, I think the real issue for many is the sense of how this path looked like it might go somewhere *interesting*. Stopping the demonic ringmaster mid-ritual, that sounds like the recipe for an exciting bit of story, probably with a cool fight against a po'd Grimm. But, nope, *poof*, now they're gone. It's Poochy driving to the fireworks factory. It feels like a bait-and-switch.

As noted, though, other parts of the dlc remain, most notably the extra path in the palace. So, only the main part of the dlc, the part that was advertised and promoted, goes away forever.

I don't care what you think, I care if it can be reversed and I can continue with the Grimm Troupe content that has been extinguished from the game. It's not dramatic to just be like, what the F? Who agreed this would be a good idea?

Sorry my mistake, instead of throwing 100% of the DLC in the bin, I only threw away 85%... I don't play this game for the charms, I play it for the encounters... where have they gone? I was having fun hunting with the little flame sprite thing followed by a delicious boss fight, now it's as if the game wasn't even updated.

See comment #5, I don't actually read what the NPCs say cause quite often it's just irrellevant and vague BS. Sorry if that upsets the fanboys but it's just an opinion

I saw this, I've worked hard on the 94% I have achieved so far, I don't want to lose all that progress picking up someone elses save file. Hopefully the devs will realise this crazyness and patch something in

Yes, you can edit your save files to revert Banishment. I just did that. Follow the link:

It has been almost a year since this was posted, they probably solved it already
