Oh you think that is bad? You can at least kinda cheese that one with Quick Focus + Stalwart Shell, but wait for the dream (technically nightmare but whatever) version...

quick slash, mark of pride, stalwart shell + requested charm

when he spam the orbs just move to right side and jump over the low ones, then hit him as much as you can and when he transform into "bats" heal 3 times, repeat and done, you can also use shade soul (lateral ability) when he throw you bats, thats how i managed to kill him (i have 9hp)

I used nailmasters glory, joni's blessing, and lifeblood core and took him down on my second try. Dash to avoid his attacks or dash into him and always have a nailart charged.

Focus on learning his moves and how best to dodge them. Go into each fight with the idea that you're not there to win, but just to get better at tactics and to learn his attacks. With that mindset, you'll eventually win.

I used the following charms which allowed me to focus on just not getting hit. (This is the only boss in which I used these charms also, I didn't use them at any other part of my playthrough):

Glowing Womb
Weaversong
Grimmchild
Fragile Strength (make sure you upgrade it so it doesn't break)
Grub Song

I used a slightly different combination for the boss that follows.

just keep at it, try to enjoy yourself. Beating these challenges are very self-rewarding.

Dont worry this is an old post, ive beat nightmare king before but only on the switch version, same with all the gods and glory content, Im not even gonna bother with the pantheon of Hallownest though

This worked for me, with Quick Focus in place of the Unbreakable Strength. Thank you!
