How to pass fat masked insect in Deepnest?

There's an area just below the abandoned tramway and to the left. There is this massive insect that comes towards me and blocks the corridor? I tried a few times to dash over/through it but some force keeps pulling me backwards? What is the best way to pass this guy?

If it is the enemy I'm thinking of, you can't pass directly through it (well you can, but only by dashing through it while it is attacking towards you). If you walk up to it and wait a moment, it will either scoot in one direction, or make a sound and prepare to swing three times at you while charging forward. You need to hit it when it does that, then back away before it strikes at you. You can usually get away with hitting it then just dashing in the opposite direction.

Heres my special tip for kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥:

1. Charge a Great Slash
   
2. Get close to them
   
3. When they open his mask for attack you relase the great slash and dash to avoid his attack
   
4. Repeat like 3-5 times

Do you have the Shade Cloak? If so, you can just dash past them just as they attack. This is much easier to do if you also have Sharp Shadow.

I'm not 100% certain, but can't you just use Vengeful Spirt//Shade Soul on these guys.

You can hit them with those spells, but it's likely that you won't have enough soul to kill them outright like that. It definitely helps though. Shade Soul might do the job on its own, but if it's a room with more than one, you might have to recharge your soul after killing one before you can finish the other.

Most of the times there are ways to go around them if you cant kill them
