My "easy" Flukemarm setup
I'm not especially good at games due to mediocre reflexes and I was having a really tough time with Flukemarm until I tried out this equipment combination - I beat it first try using this setup without ever getting below half health.

Note that you'll need to have progressed in the game a decent amount to have all the right equipment.

You'll have to forgive me for not remembering the official names of the equipment, but:
-The spore and the dung badge combine to make an especially powerful damage cloud - it kills flukes quickly enough that you can heal multiple times pretty easily.

-The thorns will take out whole groups of flukes at once, giving you enough time to start healing if you have the quick focus. It will also do decent damage to the Flukemarm if you're near it.

-The grub makes sure you always have enough focus if you're not good enough to get regular hits in (I wasn't).

Basically I just stood on the first floating platform under the Flukemarm and spend most of the match getting hit and then healing. I got the occasional hit in, but the thorns did more damage to Flukemarm than I did.

It was incredible how easy this made the fight when I was struggling so much previously. I love that this was possible because there's just no way I would have beaten the Flukemarm through reflexes.

You can actually cheese the whole fight with Flukemarm if you use Desolate Dive twice while you are directly above it (the horizontal position is a bit precise though). The first time makes you smack into the top of it and hurt it once, and the second time (use it without jumping) gets you stuck inside the boss, invincible, and damaging it repeatedly until it dies.

Edit: Just to note, I'm not trying to devalue your strategy at all, just thought it would be an interesting thing to share since the topic is about easy Flukemarm strategies.

That is a pretty creative setup though, and definitely a good way to fight it without "cheating" as the above strategy. I like the charm setup you shared here, maybe I'll try it out next run as it seems pretty fun.

Is Flukemarm but of the new release or did I just miss it previously?

Anyway, I actually found it relatively easy. I stood under the platform to the bottom right and slashed upwards whenever it spat out the babies.

And then when I had the opportunity I jumped up to the platform next to it and hit it a few times and then jumped down below again.

I suppose quickslash charm probably comes in handy for it but I didn't set any specific charms when fighting it.

Yeah, Flukemarm is part of the base game along with the charm it drops. You must have just missed it last time is all. There is a boss added in the same area, but it is on the opposite end of the place.

If you're looking at Flukemarm from a nail-based build perspective, the biggest thing (in my opinion) that causes the separation between the boss being easy and hard is whether you can one-shot the spawned Flukefeys. Coiled nail is the minimum tier nail required to do so if you're just looking at the nail without modifiers.

I have tried without avail a great number of strategies including desolate dive on the head, which seem to have been patched. This one worked on the second try. Thank you.

Flukemarm is pretty easy. The thorns charm helps, as does Longnail or Mark of Pride. Just stay below the lower platform on either side, jump out and slash it when it's clear, using the platform as cover to buy time to heal or kill flukefeys as needed. The flukefeys have dodgy pathfinding and can get stuck permanently circling you if you remain still.

Howling Wraiths with Shaman Stone equipped utterly trivializes the encounter.

The 'infinity dive' exploit got fixed in version 1.3 (Lifeblood Update), but it should still be possible if you're on v1.2 (Grimm Update).

Thanks, I'm actually stuck on Flukemarm right now. Unfortunately, I have so little progression that I haven't even seen any of the charms in your setup. I'll try Scarlet's cheat since I have desolate dive, and I've been trying to beat this boss so long that I can't be bothered to do it the right way.

I've lost over 1000 geo to this guy, so hopefully the reward for killing him is just as good.

I lost on my way to this guy over 2000 to the walking/splitting worm a-holes. The bank lady took off with my money too. Now I am running around with over 3000 geos, nowhere to spend. I apparently bought everything. Shops are all empty. :zote:

I think I have the latest version/patch. While doing desolate dive on his head I kept slipping off without doing any damage. Glad this guy is dead, I needed the charm so I could buy a notch from the fat lady.
