The important thing though is to not attempt it without a fully upgraded nail and at least the charged slash nail art. Its a LOT easier if you can one-shot the flying enemies once the floor gives way towards then end (nailmaster will allow you to charge nail arts faster)
I like to use Quick Focus and/or Quick Nail. You should strongly consider maxing your weapon out, and possibly using Fragile Strength (you could always quit at 1 HP if you're concerned about it breaking).
The no floor part isn't too bad if you're okay at platforming (it sounds like you've completed White Palace), so you can manage. Don't forget that if you miss an enemy, you can still do a downward stab onto the spikes to reset your jumping abilities, too!
After completing it for the 4th time, I realized the charge attacks (great slash?) is fantastic during this part if you have enough damage to kill things in one use of it. Great against the Baldur charger flies
Nailmaster's Glory is invaluable for dealing with the aspids, and the rest are just to get the most out of spells(Spell Twister is especially useful as it lets you spam more descending darks and you can basically i-frame your way through things like the Brooding Mawlek)
Quick slash could also be useful, especially for the boss, but it doesn't really help at all with the floorless part (the hardest part by far imo).
Mark of Pride/Longnail are useful but not really necessary, as they don't affect the nail arts which can basically replace normal attacks with Nailmaster's Glory
Of course there are other charms that would be useful but I didn't have enough slots and highly value the spell charms over basically all the others. Stalwart Shell, Deep Focus(most of the time if it's safe to heal the extra time won't matter too much and you save a lot of soul), Shape of Unn, Sharp Shadow(extra range on Shade Cloak makes it useful even if the damage isn't the best), Grubberfly's Elegy(if you can get to full health the beams are helpful in dealing with aspids)
Overall though, I think full spell build + Nailmaster's Glory(or possibly Grubsong if you don't want to use nail arts) is the best way to go.
It was really, really hard.
That was my combination.
Good luck
Max health + max soul + max nail
Fragile Strength, Longnail, Mark of pride, sharp shadow
I mandged a win on first try
Lifeblood Core
Shamen Stone
Joni's Blessing
Spam Abyss Shriek on all enemies for huge damage, when no floor waves starts you can use A spam attacks, this attack with shamen stone almost one shot everything. Also with that build you have 18+ masks and can beat that no floor wave easily. Just don't waste masks on other enemies.
For God Tamer just use Abyss Shriek on pet, after 5-6 uses pet died and you win.
Other than those two, I would suggest either Shaman Stone + Spelltwister, or Quick Slash + Stallwart Shell.
If I'm remembering the numbers right, that should be 10 charm notches
Good point.
