Can I reduce/delete particular sound effects from the game?

I love this game's music and sound effects, but there is a certain set of sound effects that I don't really like.

I'm somehow not very fond of the walking footsteps sound of the main character, except for when walking on grass. (Yes, I'm weird)

I tried reducing the sound effect volume in-game, which helped, but obviously it also reduced the volume of every other sound effects I like.

So I was wondering if there was any method I could use to reduce/delete the volume of a particular sound effect.

The sounds are great in this why cant people just enjoy linear games? Ugh modding has been a double edged sword.

If you find a way to import resources back into unity package format I can do that.

Like I said at my beggining of this discussion, I love the game's sound and atmosphere. It's just that particular sound I'm asking about. Thought I made that clear, but then again maybe it was because my english was somewhat bad.

That's really kind of you, but I know nothing about programming, heck I don't even know what "unity package format" means. Maybe I can find something with googling, but I suppose if there was something somebody would have already made a post about it.
