You can do that?! Knowing that would have made that fight ten times easier!
Yeah, these bosses aren't even the annoying part for the True Final Boss. ♥♥♥♥ everything about the White Palace lol
Even then, I found False Champion's moves to be reasonably dodgeable as long as you react quick and aren't afraid to dodge under him. I'd argue that it is not harder than many Dark Souls bosses (never played DS myself, but talked to someone who played both and I've seen a bunch of first playthroughs of both Hollow Knight and DS). But neither Lost Kin nor False Champion took more than 5 tries for me, if I remember my first playthrough correctly.
- he jumps backward to launch a wave at me, I jump over it, he instantly jump attacks me mid air
- he jumps forward, I duck under him, he instantly launches wave attack without back jump (and hits me with the mace as I'm still close to him)
This and many other "combos" that cannot be dodged once started.
So I wonder, maybe I am missing something? Some crucial spells or skills?
Should I hit him while his face is out or is it time window for me to heal?
