How to beat those "stalking devouts"?

Hi, I just went deeper into the deepnest and have found these masked spiderlike creatures. They are immune unless attacking? How do I beat them? Do I shadow dash behind them, and if so, how? Because I try but I always take damage.

there's a moment or two where they wind up, perfect for a Great Slash.

Wait for them to open up, slash, then dash in the opposite direction. Or spam magic at them from the distance. Jumping and hitting repeatedly from above also works and is probably the quickest way, where it's possible at all.

I go for the pogo on top of them.

If you strike their masks, they immediately attack. In the narrow tunnels, you can often use this to bait them out of the tunnel enough to get a couple pogo hops on them.

No matter how much the skitter, you stand perfectly still. In a few seconds they will get impatient, open their masks to attack (usually within reach of your nail) and that's when I strike and dash back. Rinse-repeat until they are ded.

That's what I've been doing and it seems to be working.

I usually lure them into an open space, wait for them to attack and then when they do just jump up and do a few pogos on their head since they have no armour on top. they don't have much hp- they die in 5 or 6 hits with the coiled nail.
