Thnks for the tip! Worked for me!
I had a problem with my wired Xbox 360 controller that was not covered above. I would get intermittent function, and then my controller would go dead for a split second without stopping. I just fixed it by unplugging my USB hub,(Insignia Model NO: NS-PCH5420) and only plugging in necessary USB cables.
Apparently USB hubs are a common source of grief when it comes to USB issues. I hope this helps.
Excellent. Worked for me. Thanks
Should this be used with native controll suport or without? Using this config I'm getting a really weird issue where each keypress hangs and keep pressed
The setting mentioned by OP in 2017 might have been working (?) for them in 2017, but today and for most users it's actually a false tip. If one is owning an XBox Controller, Steam Input must be turned off. Having it on on XBox Controllers might create some weird issues for some games, including Hollow Knight.
If you have an XBox Controller, make sure you:
— Have Steam Input turned off completely
— Have Native Controller Input in game options turned on and restart the game or system

With this configs I'm getting a perfect controller but the bumpers won't work at all. I got those working yesterday following this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/367520/discussions/0/3194740972131550134/#c3194740972131867524, but right now, if I follow it, the controller doens't even get's detected by the game.
