But now I will Avenge her!
"...how much longer ...KILL IT ...how much longer ...DANGEROUS ...how much longer ...KILL IT ...how much longer ...KILL THE EMPTY ONE ...how much longer ...must I dig...?"
She also now talks about burying a body and covering the shell. She also seems to be saying something about a darkness that remains and a dangerous light (player?)
Obviously, the Empty One is you, the Hollow Shell. You are the threat to Radiance so all the infected bugs attack you.
As far as we know there is no way to save her, she explicitly made to show the progression of infection.
I was thinking there'd eventually be a way to cleanse the infected crossroads and, by extension, Myla. That wasn't the case.
Interesting, she must have different quotes. I was just goofing around and messing with my double jump/shade dash and ended up back at the crossroads and noticed they became the Infected Crossroads. Explored a bit and came back to her and hit her with my Dream Nail as well but she said "Bury... the priest..." I agree though it was a pain, she got me from 9 hearts down to 2 before I managed to get an opening to hit her.
This was honestly so upsetting to me, when I first found her I was hoping there was some kind of song we could learn to sing with her, especially after meeting Marissa...
Speaking of adorable characters, is there anything special with the bug npc (can't remember her name) who develops a crush on us? Her house is completely filled with stuff dedicated to us and we can sit on the bench next to her and she'll blush, but is there anything else?
Nothing really happens between Bretta and the main character. you can sit next to her and see her sleeping in her house sometimes and dreaming about you, and she'll update her journal with romantic prose she writes about the two of you.
However, if you save Zote, and then beat him in the coliseum(?), she apparently stops having a crush on you and falls in love with him instead. I'm almost tempted not to save him...
