2400+ essence?

How do you get that much essence? I beat all three 2nd form dream bosses and all bosses from graves (at least there are no more markers on my map) and I still have ~1900 essence. The only thing I didn't do is consuming all of the spirits in the glade of hope, but since non-boss spirits give very small amount of essence I don't think that's the problem.

Did you get all the dream roots?

hit the whispering roots (weird tree thing with dreamcatchers on) with the dream nail. There's pretty much one in every area except the basin/waterway and Fog Valley (and two in the resting grounds, seeing as there's one in the glade too). That should get you a good chunk.

Two of the grave bosses, Elder Hu and Markoth, don't appear on your map.

I have almost 2500 but I've seen people report 2600 is possible, no idea how, I have full journal, all whisper trees and all boss refights.

About trees - yes, I forgot to write, I finished them all too. On the second thought, I probably missed the tree in the glade of hope, will check again tomorrow, thanks!

Is Elder Hu the one which flies around and drops down pillars of light on you? If yes, then it actually was on the map and I beat him. And where is Markoth?

That's Elder Hu, yes. Markoth is in Kingdom's Edge, behind one of those shadow pillars you have to dash through.

I have 2565 and and ti should be 2566 but I did not want to consume Marissa's ghost ;_;

I have no idea where 34 more is, and there is no way I've missed a tree,

Currently at 2608; if you go into the ancestral mound, and head to the very top left corner, you can find another tree. Wouldn't show on the map. Good luck :D

Max is 2607/2608 depending on whether or not you get a missable ghost.

Off the top of my head, the single essence ghosts that are spread over the map (i.e. not in the Glade of Hope) are the following:

• Cloth (Traitor Lord fight in Queen's Gardens, missable)
  
• Joni (Howling Cliffs)
  
• Marissa (Pleasure House in City of Tears)
  
• Poggy Thorax (secret room in elevator shaft of Pleasure House)
  
• Grave Keeper (Dirtmouth)
  
• Mantis Twins (Queen's Gardens) - maybe gives 2 essence?
  
• Hive Queen Vespa (Hive)
