Does the game have a lot of equipment?
Thinking about getting Hollow Knight, but one thing I'm unsure about is whether or not the game has a lot of things to find and equip, like armor and weapons. Is there a lot of that?

There's no armor or weapons. There's lots of charm that equip new passive abilities to you, three special attacks, three magical attacks, and lots of health/mana upgrades. So yes there are tons of collectible things to find.

How long does it take to beat the game in the first run ? "as in the first time you play it"
Does it have replay-value ? Like a good reason to replay the game "other than achievements"
And over all "completionist" how long would it take ?
thank you for response ^^

if you liked ori, youre going to like this game.

as to the details, good reason to replay is always up to the person and we are all wildly different. im going to replay it for sure just because its a great game.

i think the 100% completionist stuff is going on to about 35-40 hours. thats because we dont have guides or anything and we're all still compiling the info. there is an achievement for 100% under 20 hours so....

-Assuming you don't look up a guide, are strictly average at action-platformers, and don't actively pursue 100% (e.g. immediately do the objectives as soon as objectives become a thing), you can beat the last boss and get an ending in somewhere between 8-15 hours.

-Plenty of content to find and sequence-breakery to be had, if you're into that. Shame there's no like 1%-run trophy to be had like the ol' metroids.

-you can get ~98% in roughly 23 hours, in my experience. Can probably shave that number down with some speedrunner tricks and acquired knowledge of the game (in my specific case: I went at it mostly blind and had to backtrack a lot). Expect it to go up if you're not particularly good at metroidvanias.

If you mean completionist as in achievements, The absolute minimum to get all 'cheevos requires at least two playthroughs. Possibly more if you can't manage the speedrun time. There's a couple achievements related to the beastiary that don't appear to factor into your completion percentage displayed ingame.

I enjoyed this more than Ori, personally. For what that's worth.

Damn, a low% achievement would be pretty fun.

I have a feeling low percetrage and speed run will.go hand in hand.

I have been playing this game for 24 hours and I still haven't finished it. So probably like 15 hours if you don't do optional stuff.
