Love Key Usage

So I have the love key and am in the padded room.

Is it not used here? What's supposed to happen?

tower of love is over on the kingdom's edge, I'm not sure what this "padded room" you're talking about is.

The tower is where you use the love key, but it doesn't open the two bottom doors. There's another way into the Tower of Love.

The bottom entrance to the tower is a switch you have access to from the top entrance of the tower where you need to enter first.
