How many areas in the game ? (might spoil early game)

Hey guys ! :) I totally love this game, i just played it for 4 hours now and I'm just wondering how many areas there are.

I'm pretty sure i'm still early in the game but I'm trying to explore everything.

Little spoilers below :

I just went to Mantis Village and got the Mantis Claw . The floor exploded below my feet as I was still exploring, and I fell down to Deepnest.
Not really sure if it was the right track since I've just got my butt kicked and I'm wondering if it would be good to recover my 500+ geos.

Last boss I fought was that Big leaf caterpillar.

So far I think I've discovered like 3 bigs areas (including the city, I think it counts as an entire area).

This game is so lovely that I just don't wanna rush it to fast! :)

15 big areas ? Greenpath is one big area with interconnected little areas in it. If 15 is the number, then this game is kinda huge for a metroidvania, might take my time to fully enjoy the game even more!

Oh damn, so Fog Canyon and Fungal are two differents areas, I forgot about that! Well, it seems I'll have my game time right, that's awesome!

Really?! Damn! That's cool!
The last metroidvania I've played that was as long was Rabi-Ribi and it was fun to discover every area! Be sure to check this game if you haven't :p
