Escort quest and Grey Mourner
I heard there was an escort quest and a flower quest. I have no idea where to start these after beating the game. Any help would be great.

There is a spot you can utilize your ground pound ability in the Resting Place from there you will find Grey Mourner.

This spot is the sarcophagus in the bottom right of the vertical room

I too would like to hear about this escort quest.

are you sure thats where the mourner is? I've been in that tunnel for a while and still can't find them. Is there another secret wall down there?

There's tons.

From that tunnel, head right, the next shaft of light you see will lead to the Grey Mourner.

She will ask you to take a flower to the grave of her mantis lover in the Queen's Gardens, which are in between Greenpath, Fog Canyon, Fungal Wastes, and Deepnest. The grave itself is just above the Stagway in the Queen's Gardens but you CANNOT take Stagways or take damage while carrying the flower, else it will wilt and you will need to get another from the Grey Mourner.

From the Resting Grounds, it looks like the easiest path is west to either the Tram or the Blue Lake into the Forgotten Crossroads. From there, keep going west to the northern Fog Canyon entrance and work your way past the Overgrown Mound into the Queen's Gardens and towards the gravesite. The entrance to the grave has a lot of thorns so it'll likely be the most difficult part of the entire trek.

I haven't attempted it yet, been mapping everything out, trying to find the quickest and easiest path. I highly recommend unlocking all the pathways and shortcuts ahead of time. As for the reward, all I know of is the achievement.

The reward for delivering the flower is A mask fragment

So initially when I saw this task I was like "Well, looks like I'm not getting 100%. Ain't happening. The hell with that." Fortunately, I learned something very helpful: You can save scum using the benches. Every time I got hit, I'd alt-F4 (didn't want to risk any autosaves overwriting it), and upon relaunching the game would be at the last bench with my flower intact. That made it a much more conquerable goal.

My path went as follows, then, going by benches, which should be helpful even if you're not a save scum like me.

From the Resting Grounds to the tram, taking the tram to the Infected Crossroads. Tram has a bench in it.

Going up and over to the Stagway in the Crossroads, which has a bench.

I went up a couple floors to the long series of hallways leading to Greenpath, which isn't very hard, aside from the tall room immediately before Greenpath. Watch for exploding corpses. One in Greenpath, getting to the first bench should be easy.

I then went south, aiming for the bench close to the Hunter. This also wasn't too hard, in my opinion.

One final stretch which is by far the hardest part of the run, because there's a huge drought of benches from here to the grave. I highly, highly recommend going south and cutting through the Fog Canyon, rather than directly to the Queen's Garden. You only have to fight one mantis instead of two, and it's in a much easier position to either strike with a charged strike, or snipe with Vengeful Spirit. There's also only a few falling platforms/thorns to avoid. Use your camera carefully to avoid falling onto thorns or the spiky roof - I highly recommend stopping in the Stagway to save, because there's one final obstacle.

All that's left is a brief dashing segment to avoid some spikes. I got hit here my first time. I can't imagine losing there and having to do the whole thing all over. Once you've delivered the flower, you're done! Take a load off on the Stag Beetle and get the most overhyped mask fragment in the game.

C'mon it is not even that hard to do without hits :P

This is not a working solution anymore i'm afraid.

There's an escort quest? Where?
Kronos May 1, 2017 @ 11:57am
Honestly despite how awful it sounds the quest really isn't that hard. Take your time and go slow. Plan out your path ahead of time. It only ended up taking me two attempts (damn you explosive jellyfish!) without much trouble. Only like 15 minutes of my time.
