Where do i find Acid Immunity

Where can I find acid immunity for Fungal wastes etc acid rivers?

i think i found the place, it's gets you to super-dash through the tunnel leading to Ancient Basin. But i cant figure out what i need to do. There's an acid pool here and a tablent on the wall saying "Only those who prove their honor in combat can enter the grove beyond"

You're in the right area. One of the rooms you will fight a number of soldier bugs in order to proceed to the next room for your upgrade

there is nothing there :( I just have the section with an acid pool and that note on the wall. Below it is a room with a bunch of baloon like npcs and that's it . after the pool there are 2 small rooms that are empty i think one of them had a chest with coins before

and a little further is a crack in the wall that leads to king's station

is it maybe bugged? the area isnt that big for me to miss any enemies...

You have to fight a boss in the Waterways. Behind him is a valve that'll drain the acid.

wait, which boss is it? there are a bunch in Waterways if i'm not mistaken. Is it the Dung Defender?

There is a valve in a small room past the boss on a big pipe, you must hit the valve / lever on the pipe to trigger the acid to drain.

Once you drain the acid by hitting the lever in the room next to Dung Defender upon beating him, a section previous blocked by acid that is close to Dung Defender's post would open. If you proceed down and manage to survive (part of it also includes multiple rocket jumps across town), it will eventually lead you to a bug seemingly merged with a tree, and she held a special fruit like thing that when obtained will give you immunity to acid.

You can also find a shortcut back to the City of Tears afterwards, too. So you don't have to go all the way back to Dung Defender.
