Stuck after defeating hornet

Sorry to make another one of these posts, but I have absolutely no idea where to go from here. The area unlocked after defeating her doesn't seem to lead anywhere, and I can't find a place where the dash could further the story. I met the fighter bug (can't remember his name) up in Dirtmouth and again at the Stagway, but have yet to meet him again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To the right of the Lake of Unn in the chamber with the three stones, over on the left of the map.

I'm not sure about furthering the story. But at this poitn the game pretty much opens up. I found an area to the south east of the main crossroads area. but it is very difficult. I feel like I've missed a critical town/merchant somewhere.

There is a few places where the dash helps you, one of which is in greenpaths and one in the crossroads, both lead down I believe

If your still stuck try going to the bottom left of the crossroads. There's a ledge in one of the rooms you couldn't get up to before.

Anyway, there are a lot of maps and guides and such available now, I suggest you look through the guides section here on steam
