Stone Sanctuary Help

I found the stone sanctuary the other day and I was wondering if there was a trick to it, like if you get a lamp later in the game. Is it really that you just need to jump around in the dark and work with trial and error, or is there something later in the game that makes the area easier?

If the area is too dark to actually play though then wait till you get the lamp. The lamp you can get early in the game as soon as you find Sly in the forgotten crossroads (he's in the same area as Salubra), though paying for it is another matter entirely. Either have the banker hold on to some of your geos, farm with fragile greed, or do a different area all together.

Well it's nice to know I can get a lamp, but I haven't found a banker or fragile greed. Guess I have a lot more exploring to do. Thank you!

If you want to challenge yourself you can also try to figure it out blind! It's... fun in a way.

lost 800 geo trying to do this blind and now my soul is stuck in the dark room what a great game

yeah this happens from time to time depending on where you die. Somewhere between early to mid-game, you'll get access to rancid eggs. then you don't have to go to the death spot to retrieve your soul and geo. Just turn in rancid egg to rancid egg dude at the far right side of dirtmouth and you can kill your shade there.

How do you even die in there? When you lose your 2nd last life you can just walk out as you respawn at the entrance and then go to the bench that's right above it.
