hide the mouse cursor

so I have no problem at all playing this game with a keyboard but the mouse cursor popping up randomly during the game is bothering me
are there any ways to disable the mouse completely as soon as the game starts running?

You are doing it wrong. You won't get the whole game experience if you will ply it on a keyboard. Get yourself a gamepad - it is very useful thing!

I would recommend a controller like the last commenter, but no matter what you play with to hide the cursor simply scroll the cursor to the right edge of the screen and disable your mouse (i.e. unplugging a usb mouse, using whatever button you need to disable a laptop touchpad). Hope you keep enjoying the game no matter how you play it!

Keyboard is absolutely fine for HK, most of prolific speedrunners also use KB.

To hide mouse you can click anywhere when it appears and then just move it away in a top right corner. Keep in mind you can navigate menu with keyboard key bound to movement.
