King's Brand

What is the earliest point one can get the king's brand. as in what things do i need to do before i can get it.

King's Brand is behind the 2nd Hornet encounter in Kingdom's Edge. In order to get to that encounter, there are a series of ledges which I believe require Double Jump in order to reach (you can also use glitches to get up there without double jump).

As a result, you need to acquire Vengeful Spirit (Forgotten Crossroads), Mothwing Cloak (Greenpath), Mantis Claw (Fungal Wastes), Crystal Heart (Crystal Peak), and Monarch Wings (Ancient Basin) as abilities minimally (in that order).

To access Kingdom's Edge, you need one of the following:
- City Crest to get into the City of Tears + Simple Key to access the Royal Waterways which leads out into the right side of the City -> secret passage to Kingdom's Edge in King's Station.
- Crystal Heart allows you to access the secret passage to Blue Lake above Salubra's shop in Forgotten Crossroads -> elevator from Resting Grounds to City of Tears above King's Station -> secret passage to Kingdom's Edge in King's Station.
- Tram Pass allows you to use the Deepnest <-> Ancient Basin <-> Kingdom's Edge tram in the lower half of the map.

Edit: It was brought up in another thread that you can also kite flying enemies or use your own shade to reach enough height to avoid needing double jump, in which case you can skip the Crystal Heart and Monarch Wings.

Thanks for the informative ansver. thought after reading "you can also use glitches to get up there without double jump" i just went there and used a a flying enemy to bounce up the three steps where dubble jump would be needed.
