The system cannot find the path specified. is what i get the DD_Savedata is my xbox save that i got off my usb with horizen the farthest i got so far lol
you have to manually put the . between upload and net cause it wont let me post a link. i dont know why
DD_SAVEDATA_01[www.file-upload.net]
After I did that, I opened command prompt in admin mode and typed this exactly : DDsavetool.exe -c DATA0.DAT DDDA.sav
It said "converted save to ddda.sav" and yet when I turn the game on and try to load it it says something like this "failed to load save, save game is corrupted".
And when I try to convert the original DATA0.DAT it just says "Neither file is a Dark Arisen console savegame"
So what the hell am I doing wrong here? I really want to have my original save back but it just doesn't seem to work for me, please anyone help me out there.
Now I'm gonna have to wait around for someone to put up a good level 200 Ranger/mule pawn... ah, well.
FIRST THING'S FIRST, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR ORIGINAL DA PC SAVE BEFOREHAND.
1. if you haven't already, download Brute Force Ps3 for decrypting (there are tutorials for this elsewhere)
2. Once you have the decrypted ps3 save, Make sure you have the DDsavetool.exe in the SAME folder.
3. locate your DDDA.sav in c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\159193716\367500\remote and place it in the SAME folder as the DDsavetool AND your DATA0.DAT
4. IN THE FOLDER that your saves and the program are placed in, ctrl+shift+right click the folder window, and select "open a command window here"
5. Once the command window is open, type the following, WITHOUT QUOTES, exactly how it appears. "DDsavetool.exe -c DATA0.DAT DDDA.sav" After this is typed press enter. it *should* tell you that it succesfully converted the dat file to the .sav.
6. place the .sav file back into c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\159193716\367500\remote
7. when the game starts, it MAY still start in offline mode, however this is not an issue. simply load up the new save, travel to Gran Soren if you aren't already there, TURN ON ONLINE MODE in the options menu, then sleep at the inn. from my personal experience, the game will connect to the server and everything will be gucci.
If everything beyond that worked out, congrats, you're where you left off 3 years ago XD.
P.S. if you had any pawns from other players when you copied the save, you'll still have them, making them essentially "ghost" pawns. if you intend to keep them, do not dismiss them, obviously, or they';ll be gone forever. The rift still works, and you can still search for user pawns there. I'm just saying that pawns that wander around (if you're a high level) will be ones generated by the game until people get to your level naturally.
Converted save to DDDA.sav
I did the process but it didn't do anything to the file and the files both say they were unaltered from the process
Are the files in steam save directory? Maybe you need to copy them away from there first. If that doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what is going wrong unfortunately.
