Naked, Scar-Free, or Modded Arisen Not Possible?
I have DDDA on multiple platforms and have encountered a strange issue with the Steam version of the game: when I use Nude Mod, Remove The Arisen Chest Scar, and Conlin 4k Female Body and Face Retexture (updated to v1.2) in the Gog game everything works fine, but not in the Steam game (where you have scar, loin-cloth, and bandages regardless, even with a completely new game). The same happens with amended parameter files (to increase the player encumbrance values, for example).

Is this just me missing something important and particular to Steam, or is there genuinely some issue with Steam and modded players and / or nudity?

I know this is a little late on the reply, I am using a modpack from nexus and it seems to include nude textures. It's weird, when I start a new file, I do not see the nude textures. However, after playing a bit(1-2 hours) , it just seems to kick in at some random point. They do work it just seems to take time for the game to register that they are there for some odd reason. Once they do actually load in, they are reliably working every time i run the game. Atleast until I make a new game.

This is because the game stores duplicates of things in a lot of different areas and it loads from them at different times. The models and textures for the underwear are stored in an arc called the m_i_body0000.arc and the f_i_body0000.arc, these are located in rom\eq\i_body. However, they are also stored in the game_main.arc as loose files in game_main\model\pl\m\m_body_i\m_body_i000, game_main\model\pl\m\m_leg_i\m_leg_i000, game_main\model\pl\f\f_body_i\f_body_i000, and game_main\model\pl\f\f_leg_i\f_leg_i000, m for the male textures and f for the females.

On top of that, the skin textures themselves are stored in the game_main.arc and the title.arc, and a lot of early mods didn't include changes to the title.arc, which is why a lot of mods only show up after playing a while, or if you save and quit and then reload from the main menu to make the game start loading from the game_main.arc.

I know it's a bit confusing, and if you need some help I can try and give you a hand :).

Thanks, - both replies are helpful: I don't intend to create new mods for DDDA, but this will be very helpful for trying to create "instant work" nude, scar, and retexture mods for the Steam platform.
