DDDA Patch Notes [Updated 12/18/17]
12/18/17

A new, minor patch has been released today for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen that addresses the following:

【Japanese input error Fix】
When typing in Japanese text while in full screen mode, users were not able to see before they converted to kanji, katakana, etc. This has been fixed.

【Ability Bug Fix - Inflection】
Fixed a bug on the ability, “Inflection” in which it was originally doubling damage instead of halving damage in certain situations. Inflection now appropriately halves damage.

【Quest Bug fix】
A rare bug originally occurred in which the quest "Trappings of Evil" was made unavailable if a user upgraded and equipped specific gear. This fix will now allow players who own the upgraded version of that gear to take on the quest.

PATCH # 1

Hail Arisen,

A new patch has been released today for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Here are the fixes:

  • Added 1366x768 resolution support
  • Game should no longer have intermittent controller device detection issues when multiple devices are plugged in. This should address some of the stutter and input issues reported by users including spell/charge attacks not releasing, character ceasing to run etc.
  • Lantern binding issue - When full lantern becomes half-full, it will still be bound to the hotkey. (previously "half full" and "empty" were treated as separate inventory items)
  • Cursed King's Belt - equipping this item on a male character will no longer crash the game
  • Adjusted audio levels – addressed the ‘audio too low’ issue some users encountered
  • VSync set to OFF by default
  • DirectInput controller adjustments:
  • Deadzone for each pad is now stored and configurable via config.ini
  • DualShock 4 on PC will now have the same deadzone sensitivity as on PS4
  • Other DirectInput gamepads will also have a much tighter deadzone as well (the same accuracy/sensitivity as on X360 gamepad)
  • Game logo in Photo Mode – removed artifact on the right edge of the logo watermark.
  • Refresh rate settings – the game will now properly detect the refresh rate set in config.ini
  • Key bindings – mapped “0” as the 'center camera' button.
  • End game credits crashing the game for some users – while this issue could not be reproduced, some changes have been made which should help reduce or eliminate the issue.

Meanwhile, the team is still looking into the 5.1/7.1 audio popping/crackling issue that some users have reported. We'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks for your patience and support of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen!

This patch introduced an issue where the audio is extremely loud when starting the game from the Desktop and is also excessively loud during your first visit to the Title screen. The volume fixes it self once it checks save game data.

The deadzone for my xbox 360 wireless controller shrunk considerably which makes menu navigation annoying but this is seemingly configurable in the configuration file. The game has also always (now and pre-patch) treated my Xbox360 gamepad as a Logitech F310 gamepad (I have both connected).

I can not increase the deadzone for gamepad beyond 1.000000, it will always revert to 1.000000 (I was trying to set it to 1.200000). Please increase the upper limit to 2.000000. 1.000 is fine for gameplay but for menu navigation it is a nightmare, the teeniest sidewards movement will highlight Quests or Map in the pause menu, I'll be using the Dpad to navigate menues until this is fixed, if it gets fixed..

The game fails to configure the deadzone correctly for a device that is initialized after starting the game. For example, if I turn on my Wireless Xbox 360 Gamepad at the main menu the game will automatically start scrolling through menu options. This was previously not an issue.

Though it wasn't addressed in the patch. Still can't get a solid 60FPS. Even turning down settings I'm getting as low as 40FPS in occasional spots. Is this being looked into? A bunch of people have had similar issues even with higher specs than me.

My Specs:
CPU: AMD APU A8-5600k 3.6GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 750ti Gaming 2gb Edition (Driver 361.43)
RAM: 8gb DDR3 1600MHz
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
AntiVirus: Windows Security Essentials

I use normal stereo headphones and I get the audio cracking/popping issue. It can't only be 5.1 and 7.1

Is Ur Dragon going to be fixed so it doesn't go through several generations in a row in a matter of minutes?

Edit: In case you're unaware Capcom, yesterday there was an issue with Ur Dragon where a lot of people were seeing different generations, some were seeing them in grace, some were seeing at full health or low health, graces were lasting only a couple minutes. I assume this issue contributed to us shooting through so many generations very quickly. Having Ur Dragon looked at would be nice.

Heh nice , to think they are actually patching this lols.

The dream of standard KbM hotkeys for a PC game may still come true lols , you know , M for map would be bad :P.

Just a few simple questions for Capcom Customer Service:

1. When are you going to solve those crappy sky textures?
2. When are you going to add some proper shadows?
3. When are you going to add mouse wheel functionality for both menu/inventory and combat binds?

You know ... it's 2016. These should all be ok by default, even for a port.

Thank you for the patch and support the game.
It's good to have native resolution available(mine is 1366x768), a first in a MT Framework game by the way, and the other fixes.
It's a great game. :D:

what about 100% Cpu spikes during alt tabbing, alt+enter & changing/saving vieo settings?

anyway, i tried watching some streamers today, i could not hear any game dialogue; if i turn my volume up, then its too loud to watch any1 else i check out.

Audio is still a little to low, its better than what it was but still not as loud as it could be.
Could Capcom possibly add in new audio sliders or something so we can dile up the audio instead of waiting for Capcom to go in and adjust it randomly.
Nicholas Steel Jan 27, 2016 @ 6:52pm
After playing the game for a couple hours last night after this patch landed I've come to the conclusion that the audio quality has worsened, specifically the audio mixing. I'm unsure if you changed audio API or the artificially boosted volume is the cause behind it. I guess I can test the latter by just... turning the audio down in the game unless the boost in volume is applied to the audio assets directly and isn't a post processed effect.

Anyways, an option to undo the boost (Even if it is just a config file setting) would be nice.

Ok my xbox one controller is wigging out in menus.. .I see others having dead zone issues now so it isn't just me. Whatever it was set to prior, it worked fine for me.
