No mouse pointer?
Hi all,

Thought I've give this old game a razz but every time I run it it doesn't show my mouse pointer so I can only navigate with the keyboard arrows, but it's like some other controller is interfering as the selection box just goes up on it's own without me doing anything?
If I press the down arrow the selection box moves down but it wants to constantly go back to the top?.
I've unplugged all my peripherals, restarted and still does the same.
Any ideas appreciated...Im on latest Win11 and a 4090.

Thanks

Usually it's another device that causes issues like a controller, buuuuuutttttt since you listed a 4090 as your saying an RTX 4090 is your GPU then I bet you have the hyped up mechanical rgb Keyboard/mouse that also has a controller program. Try disabling that to where it's just a k/m or try a controller, BTW I have never used a k/m to play this but I don't think there is a pointer that can be moved around freely, it's a center crosshair system when using some bows, and a locking one with magic and magic bows that can be switched to different enemies. Otherwise it's kind of an auto target system as you can swing your sword at open air but your arisen will turn to follow close by NPC's and enemies(close by).

Aha thansks Ray, yes I've got a Corsair Gaming K55 keyboard...didn't realise that would be considered a controller. I did try a controller on its own but it did just the same and in game the character just automatically ran forward whilst the camera spun around on its own!....all very trippy!....will see what settings I find, thanks.

I sussed it...twas my rudder pedals for flight sim causing the issue...unplugged and it's all good :)

Glad you got worked out. Keep in mind in the future that RGB keyboards and the like have controller programs, some extra button mice are treated as controllers, and sometimes unplugging those devices doesn't stop there drivers from causing issues in games.
