A) Your backed up files are actually corrupted. No can do.
B) You are using the wrong account. Save files are tied to a specific account number and will return corrupted message if ran on a different account. If you have other accounts try with one of them.
C) The game occasionally verifies a completely functional .sav file as corrupted. Probably due to comparing it with some reference data that only match most recent .sav file - those reference data may or may not be those single digit named files in the "remote" folder that are created every time you exchange data with the Rift server.
1. Be sure you are not swapping with an original backup of a .sav file. Always use a copy as on being "verified" a file may actually get corrupted, by verification.
2. So, copy, a copy, of a backup .sav file to "remote" folder. You can replace a current file or delete it beforehand, doesn't matter.
3. If upon starting the game you'll get a message about your save being negatively verified just say "No" to creating a fresh save and exit the game.
4. Once again copy a copy of the same beacked up .sav file to "remote" folder to replace the "verified" file.
5. Start the game and ejoy positively verified save.
BTW Be sure you have turned off the Cloud backup.
