Is there a bypass for reserved keys?
I use a raidmouse and I wanted to bind my secondary and third skill sets to my 1, and 2 buttons on the side of my mouse. The game says they are reserved and I can't find a way around it.

I haven't notice any reserved keys, on mouse at least. But there are some actions that cannot be rebound via in-game options, maybe they use ...whatever you have assigned to side buttons. Anyway, I edit config.ini to configure those hidden controls. Here's a bare bones manual on how to navigate around this file that I found.

You can tell which action is which in the game from keys you assigned to them in Options. The actions not shown there are
STG_CAM_RESET - camera reset, also manual lock for staff skills' lock on.
STG_SHOT - ballista discharge
STG_MGC_CH_MODE - manual aiming mode for staff skills

Note: some actions are contextual so you can use the same key for few of them if they are not mutually exclusive. The best example is ballista fire which you can set on anything but Action, Light or Heavy attack cause these are used to control other functions of ballista. On the other hand the game itself attaches STG_THROWING and STG_THROWING_AWAY to you binds for Light and Heavy attack.

SLOT_ITEM actions are not key binds, they are hotkeys for using curatives or lantern.
STG_TOUCH is a null action

hey thanks! but yeah they are hidden keybinds to potions and lantern sadly... I would have much preferred them to have been bound to my actual 1, and 2 keys

Try binding your actions to keyboard '1'' and '2' keys - apparently the game thinks your side keys are those- in the file and simply don't use the potions hotkeys. Maybe it will work.
Unless you can make your mouse to emulate different keyboard keys?

that is a thought. razor does let me have a different kepmap possibly... I seriously hate the razor synaps though. Let me give that a shot really quick.

Ok so yeah they keyboard and side buttons were linked, just not my numpad buttons apparently. I was able to rebind through razor synapse. That thought entirely skipped my mind " that is how much I hate razor synaps". However everything is all good now. Now I just need to relearn the game and deal with weak pawns lmao.
