That will be the best gear you can get at the moment I suppose. The equipment quality grows more or less linearly.
BTW Eventaully your Ass ass may need something from the "lower tier" for few special cases, like going against tougher enemies at Dark Arisen underpowered or fighting ghosts. But that's it.
-You gonna want to try the sniper build with force hatchet and a shortbow, so a force GDF hatchet.
-You want a pair of Heaven's keys. They are permanently enchanted holy daggers you get from the Ur dragon. They enable you to deal damages to ghosts and combined with masterfull kill they are the easiest way to no-match living armor once they get in their ghost form (with masterfull kill).
-You might want to try going sword/dagger and shield, a GDF dragon roost is probably one of the best shield you can use. It has a lightning elemental effect (so basically it can shocks ennemies and so jump from targets to targets hitting multiple ennemies/parts) plus it has a chance to apply a STR debuff on ennemies it hits.
- A GDF rusted bows with fivefold flurry and a stack of silence/sleep arrows....
For skill rings (actually they're bands), you might want the one that boost:
- powder charge + deadly gouge
- shirking offense + eagle sight
- deadly gouge + crackdown
- tempest harness + shirking offense
Crackdown will be very usefull if your sorcerer pawn also have voidspell (or you are immune to reduced defense).
Shirking offense is a very good iframe skill for dagger set-ups.
Powder barrage is the way to dps and knock down ennemies with a sword.
Eagle sight... force hatchet... bast arrows.... conqueror periapts.
No need to mention that best armor is the oblivion set (with assault boots if you want to maximize STR but it's already overkill on assassin).
For your sorcerer pawn, just go with BBi BIS weapon and armor (sanguine stalk and carrion set, though you might want to give her an adept hat insted of the carrion veil, to make her miasmas last longer).
Most important being a GDF hellfire cap which gives immunity to possession and save you having to carry curatives against that.
Have the following abilities on the armor:
- Greaves: prevent wind from affecting mobility
- Claws: restore stamina when delivering the killing blow
- Mantle: restore HPs over time
Then a pattern gambeson and a delta guard to complete.
DONT give skill rings to caster pawns, for the same reason you dont teach them the high version of bolide and necromancy. Other wise any combination of master ring either to improve stats or give resistance to things the carrion set doesnt cover already.
Barbed nails can also be an extremely good pick, for both you and your pawn.
Ancients set is viable throughout the game because it also has rainbow resistances.
Ogre bone ring is sick for any sorcerer who also has intonation augments that stop him getting slapped out of his casting.
You probably want to optimize for stagger over damage with the assassin because they already have the best attack growth. Stagger is a massive quality of life improvement.
