Is Selene even a witch?

I know it's kind of a silly question, but I didn't see her use any magic powers or did I miss something? I mean, Quina is a mage and she uses magic in her escort quests, but Selene does nothing. She's just a walking talking drink dispenser (no offense, Selene fans).

Technically she is not. She's a herbalist.
Though she used to be a Pawn so must have had some vocation, and the obvious choice for such a scrawny kid is Mage or Sorcerer.

Anyway, you can find a Sorcerer archistaff in her cottage...

It's possible her Arisen was a Sorcerer, but she never learned.

It's also possible that they just forgot to give her any combat skills; the base game is an absolute mess, beautiful as it is in many ways.
