*mumbles angrily*
Why was the player given control in the first place then, why not just make the cutscene complete instead of "oh lets give the player a break for literally 2 sec and then continue the cutscene again"... What was the point, its not like I could do much in the first place...
BTW Funniest thing about this whole torture thing is that even your Pawns will notice
"Master, you're hurt! How did this happen!?"
even if you got through the quest without the scratch (also there were suppose to be guards on your way to duchess' bedchamber, while in the end even the jailer leaves his post). I belive the quest was heavily nerfed shortly before the release, but devs didn't adjust its script.
Ugh. Come on...
As for all the features that were stripped from that quest, It's pretty surprising how much was removed. Quite unfortunate because in the end that just made me hate the duke, his miserable kingdom, this little wench he married, these incompetent guards and the cowardly inhabitants of Gran Soren.
That whole questline is part of the game's romance system, and that is--in my opinion--by far the worst-implemented part of the whole thing. (Although like most of the game's failings, it often fails so catastrophically that it crosses right back over from frustrating to entertaining.)
