Report a translation problem
1. (most mods) edit the .tex file to remove the texture so that there is nothing to render. The problem with this is that there are many equip/clothing .arc files, and it is tedious to unpack, replace the .tex files, and then repack each one.
2. edit "itemList.itl" from "bbs_rpg.arc", but it's using a hex editor. Apparently, there are parameters which determine which file to load, and if you specify a non-existing file, then it doesn't load it. Problem with this is that there is no master list of which line is what equipment, so one would have to cross search values using visible in game stats of each item, which is even more tedious and not really feasible. Actually, I believe they may correspond to item ID, but I don't have a good understanding of hex editing.
So, I'm looking for someone/some published work that has already done one of these things, because it's way too much effort to accomplish myself.
