What's the most fun class to play?
Currently doing warrior, but im wondering if i should spend my points and money into something else instead. I don't much care for how strong the class is, mainly for how fun it is to play.

only you can decide for yourself. people consider different things fun.

The best part of any fantasy game is magic.

Just fling spells around and enjoy the show.

But, really, what is fun depends on you... not us.

personally it was magic archer in BBI, just because how easier it was and it made the character stand out where I never use it otherwise so felt like something new.

Then it's simple: use anything other than sorcerer or mage.
ouch. people just dont understand how to use them properly.

I personally love the assassin class. I love the mobility, the masterful kill skill (which is insanely OP against certain enemies), and I feel like it has some of the best armor sets in the game.

play them all for a bit and unlock their augments. while you do this, you get to try them out and get exposed to the different styles.

mysstic knight is probably the most unique class in any game and very versatile.

Depends on your definition of fun.... if you like melee I'd say any yellow vocation, if you prefer casters mage is probably the most entertaining vocation. MK is amasingly fun to play because it makes use of lot of mechanics (spell casting, shield counters, iframe, melee, buffs, etc...).

Though I can tell you what vocations arent fun to play, at least once you master them: magic archer and sorcerer.... way too OP, gameplay excessively mechanical (there's only one proper way to do things optimally, and once you master these vocations, you basically end up always doing the exact same things repeatedly).
Basically these 2 vocations are the best at skipping the fight entirely trough pure sheer power and cheese.... the only step above these 2 to skip fights more efficiently is to not launch the game at all....
Strider is borderline in that category... what saves it is his tactical versatility, you can stay optimal while doing very different things to handle similar situations.

i agree with magick archer being ridiculous. sorcerer has the worst spell recoil ive ever seen in video games with magic casters but that is the cost for the power it gives.

once you are in BBI3 all of them do this though. game is power fantasy. being op is expected.

Well at leas other vocations require special items to become OP.... MA is a sorcerer with short cast spells for all elements, that can use dodge roll, double jump and levitate and has access to a party buff giving both mage and demon periapt effect at the same time....
So not only it's very OP, but also extremely easy to use.... making it the most boring vocation of all..... only chalenged by metal golems which is one of the rarest ennemy in the game.

boring is subjective. i actually like the MA but it is no different than assassin that is a god tier strider.

no skill recoil can dodge roll and literally can kill every enemy easily including metal golem which is not rare. i usually run into him in the middle area in that dark room.

yellow is literally the strongest vocation type in the game. MA is just a yellow whose attacks deal magic instead of physical.

if i had to say one was boring for me, its definitely yellow.

i hope in DD2 we can have multiple characters. sucks you cant have a pure magic, pure strength, and hybrid.

Play assassin,
12 skills at your disposal at any time , not too OP and have fun skills .
spiderbite /backkick/easy kill
moving castle /flight response
keen sight
powder charge/clarity/gouge

buff yourself /debuff enemies
wind harness / staredown /blunting arrow

level 3 skill rings offer some fun combinations too
powder barrage/shirking offensive

Then you have access to generic sword/shield/dagger/shortbow skills as well.

Great on versatility and good on damage. You'll never feel bored.

And with lategame euipments/augments you can deal with anything including magical enemies.
Experienced players may use force hatchet to get one of the highest DPS in game.

I like strider because I have better control of the party in that can dictate a ranged attack as a means of starting an engagement. Plus the Strider is a versatile, lethal class.

If you think assassin is superior to strider, that just mean you have no clue on either...

Boring: OP, too easy, repeatitive gameplay, can skip combat mechanics trough sheer power.

yeah, it can easily kill anything... that's exactly why it's the most boring.... and metal golem is rare... I counted 3 in total, (1 in gransis, 1 as a random spawn in BBi arena and one in the area right before the dark bishop), but now I might have missed some... and to kill one as a MA (without cheese tactics like gravity kills) you need to waste a skill slot for a skill that will mostly have no other purpose than killing that metal golem, because your ammos are your pawns (so only 3 shots at best).

To clarify sometthing, for me "strong" means good at what a vocation is designed for...
- red vocations are tank, the strongest tank for me is MK.
- blue are casters but that include DPS and supports, mage is the strongest support, MA is the strongest magic DPS, sorcerer is the strongest burst (unless you go with a pack of sorcerer for synch casting, then it becomes the strongest magic dps).
- Yellow are rogues, strider is the strongest physical DPS, ranger is the strongest debilitator/saper.

Assassin is.... versatile.... but wrongly designed. It's a rogue tank while it's designed to be better at solo play (without pawn).... All it has for him is his strength growth (which comes at the cost of an extremely low magic defense).

Myself I find sorcerer way more boring than any yellow vocation, or rather.... I prefer tactic and reflexes over strategy.
