Lack of Longbows
I know this isn't a Loot-a-thon like Diablo or something, but I'm disappointed in the lack of longbows. I've been using the same Reinforced Longbow for at least 30 of the 40 hours I've been playing, probably longer.

I find lots of heavy armor, shields, two-handed weapons, daggers, and even 4 or 5 different shortbows. But I've only come across 3 longbows including the Reinforced Longbow.

Yeah, bows are underrepresented in this game unfortunately (there're a few more shortbows but also not that many). Even Ur doesn't drop any bows.

the vendor in gran soren should stock new longbows as the main story progresses. Most of the loot is random out of a pool, so you'll probably want to buy weapons every now and again.

I know some weapon types have multiple weapons in the same tier, but there should at least be enough longbows to get you through the game.

You can always try upgraded rusted longbow. Check weapon piles or Reynard for it and upgrade mats from montebank.

There are more Longbows in the game, they're just not very common at the start-mid game. Longbows are very powerful even though there's not as many.

Wait till you try to find Elemental bows.

It's kind of hilarious that-- as powerful as Longbows are, and as favored by players as they may be for their power-- their variety is incredibly underwhelming. And oh my god, their naming conventions.

At the same time that you're picking up swords like GRYPHIC VICTORY and MALIGNANCE, you're picking up.. Plain Longbow.

Wow, that really makes me excited about this weapon.

Thanks everyonoe. I'll be on the lookout for better longbows as I go through the main story. I'm still able to kill almost everything I come up against with Tenfold Flurry except for Ogres. They take a ton of hits.

Aim for the face to deal critical damage (easier to hit than the Cyclops' eye, thankfully). Keep in mind the head in general isn't a critical zone, just the face specficially (because reasons).

I've gotten some critical shots on an Ogre and they still don't do nearly as much damage as a critical shot on a Cyclops...I think. A Cyclops seems to go down much more quickly than an Ogre.

Yes Ogre are mre powerfull.

You can try your luck in the Soulflyer Canyon for early longbows. Or save-scum there. Can find The Plain Longbow and Bespoke Longbow there. Maybe some others as well. In general tons of good loot can be found there, all kinds of weapons (including elemental daggers and swords) and armor - if luck favours you. Can get there as soon as you reach Gran Soren, but it will probably be a risky trip at that time.

Took me a while but I got one while exploring BBI. Just look through all the chests and you're bound to find an upgrade.

It takes me 2800 stamina worth of Tenfold Flurries to take one down. I've got decent gear too. The things are just really fat.

Delibitation with your bow and go on them with your knife :) if possible.
