Silver rings - am I missing something?

I've seen a few pawns around level 50+ wearing silver rings. The silver rings I have contribute nothing - no stats, and no looks (as they can't be seen). Why are pawns wearing them? Am I missing something here?

They ain't got nothin' on my platinum rings! they got 2 whole points of physical defense AND magical defense!

Could be from a time when they had nothing else to equip and they just never remembered to look back to switch them out. Could be a roleplay thing. You'll eventually see pawns with the rings you can buy from RC on, and they are equally as beneficial as a Silver Ring, they just have a much more stylish icon.

Wow ... given that a pawn rental seems to get me approx 10k RC, I can see me hurrying to spend it on these rings! ;)

But yes - the 1-2 defence is better than nothing, even if it is +0.1% better...
