yet another who wont get to know Selene and her plight...
Best to check a quest guide online to find out which are the missable quests :D
There are several quests which you can fail this way.
Dammit Capcom...
It has this thing called, Missables.
Nah, I call it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pain in the ass. The game gives you no indication that you can fail a quest by doing other quest with no connection to that one. If you want to tell me that I "waste" time by not doing it right away, then it's even bigger BS as there is another quest that is time limited, but that one at least tells you that you only have a certain amount of time left.
It won't hurt in the long, you have a few options, start the game on hard mode or just play NG+.
The chests there have some decent mid game gear that you could have found elsewhere. You'll also be locked off from getting Quina or Selene as your Beloved, along with their missions (3 or 4 each irc). There's a quick quest that will give you The Arisen's Bond that is started there. There's a respawning Metal Golem along with a quest (Mettle Against Metal) and it's one of the few places you can find those (there's at least one Notice Board quest to kill Metal Golems). There's the Portcrystal that was mentioned above.
It's not critical, but you do miss out on some useful stuff. Also, you should still have access to the first area of Witchwood, there's some chests with stuff and a lot of easy kills (wolves, spiders & goblins mostly).
Thank you for the details, it sounds like I'd want access to the area, so now it's just a choice of do I start over on Hard Mode (which I'm very unsure of) or just make new characters on Normal (I am rather attached to the ones I got now, but I could reverse them, make my main pawn my character, and my character my main pawn...)
But the side quest in the game are badly implemented due there are no journal to give me some clues about the side quest in the game.
Is this the worst of the missable sidequests or are there others that significantly lock you out of content as well?
