Level 11 just arrived at Gran Soren
So arrived with the Snakes head on the cart , Got a new pawn , tried Everfall , but found it too hard , what should I be doing next ? I have picked up various notice board quests but all seem to be mostly just kill X amount of things rather than Storey Progression.

One thing I have not yet done , but I found it hard , was the quest down the well , I did try it at around level 7.

I still seem to have the same original weapons and armour , but I have advanced my skills and purchased more options....

Help please.....

Upgrade your gear! The starting rusted weapons are really bad - until they are dragon forged (Don't throw them anyway). Do some sidequests to earn money and discipline points to get more skills and augments. If you're struggling in the everfall try hiring some pawns with access to holy and fire abilities.

doing the everfall is your next step in story progression so if you find it too difficult, you should do some side quests. the well quest becomes easy if you hire a mage / sorcerer pawn that can give you ice boon weapon buff or cast ice spells.

(and what the above poster said.)

Cool Thank you , I was feeling a bit lost , as nothing was really showing / pointing me towards the next main phase....so basically grind a bit , perhaps change my character , I was thinking Sorcerer ?!? is that a good choice then do the grinding , everfall then the well ?

I read there was a fast travel system, is that in Gran Soren ? or do I need to advance the storey a bit more first before that feature appears ?

In your sotrage their should be an eternal ferrystone. The eternal ferrystone lets you teleport to areas where you have placed portcrystals, you have 3 portcrystals placed by default (Gran Soren, Cassardis and BBI) which can;t be changed, but you can set up to 8-9 extra portcrystal locations - so you basically "set up your fast travel locations".

You don't have to go too far, there are some quests inside the city that are simple enough to do and there are 9 (3 of which are in BBI) notice boards in the game. 1 in Cassardis, 1 in the encampment, 4 in Gran Soren (2 in thepawn guild, 1 in the Arnsmiths Pub and 1 in the Inn).

As for vocations choose which ones you like and feel free to switch. The game isn't that grindy - unless you choose to make it so. 3-4 levels, a few skills and some better gear goes a long way.

Perfect thank you , that gives me something to aim for :)

Did you already do all the sidequests, especially the one where you have to go to the witchwood and support quina? If you haven't done this sidequest already, I would highly recommend doing it because the quest is going to fail if you finish the everfall quest before.

Yeah, for future reference you can min-max in this game which can be fine. But I'd recommend you make an extra save file - look up how to do it - after you've had enough of your first account.

If you miss anything don't fret and start over again, you have multiple options, such as restarting on hard, or beating the game. NG+ carries a lot of thing over. Your items, explored areas, acheivement status, portcrystal settings so you can breeze multiple playthroughs very quickly.

Plus I have pick up a port crystal in Gran Soren , plus I can see another port crystal detailed on the main map , near the start location , but I cannot figure out how to fast travel there , no option on the map and when I goto the port crystal area in Gran , there is nothing really there , just a group of stones where I picked it up from.

Go to the Inn in Gran Soren. In the stash there should be an eternal ferrystone, take it in your Inventory and use it. Then you should be able to fast travel.

Select the ferrystone and select "use" it will take you to a menu. As for Archstaves doesn't the Vendor sell one? If not, you'll have to do a bit of sequence breaking and start BBI, just run - I mean it - through the first room to the second, you'll meet someone called Barroch he'll sell you an archstaff.

Thank you , yes just found the common Archstave it is like 18000 gold....sounds pricey !!

I had a look through my inventory but cannot see a eternal ferrystone....I assumed I picked one up near the everfalls entrance...
