Magick Bows in Bitterblack
Does anyone know if any chests in bitterblack drop magick bows, besides getting them from cursed weapons. Any chests before Gazer possibly? Thanks for any help. :)

The only magick bows I found pre-Gazer in BBI were ones that were already available to me in the shops.

I believe the first unique ones you find are from the Weapon Lvl 2 ores, the first one I remember finding being not that far past Gazer (Black Abbey IIRC).

I've been in this situation before. The best place to go is where the cockatrice is. It requires getting the void key, which is in midnight helix with the annoying gargoyle. If you can get that far you have a really good chance of getting Terminal Gyre from a number of chests in the area with the cockatrice.

You can buy Terminal Gyre, or you can buy Militant Dove which upgrades to be stronger then Terminal Gyre

Oh really? Do happen to know which chests exactly? A Terminal Gyre is exactly what I'm looking for. I can hardly find any content of what Bitterblack chests contain online.

There are a bunch in that area, but I know the two chests in the very room with the cockatrice have a chance to drop it. So maybe save before entering the lower floor with the cockatrice, then run to the two chests. If it doesn't drop from the chests, then reload your save.
It's not a bad bow... you can buy chestnut branches from that little camp near the goblin fortress to upgrade it to level 2. Then maybe try some rancid bait in duskmoon tower to summon a cursed dragon wich has a 50% chance of dragonforging a level 2 item. Although it's going to be tough... very tough.

Terminal Gyre is awful. Delec in the Chamber of Estrangement of the Everfall sells Dragon's Quickening for 750,000g, which is the second best non-Bitterblack magic bow. There are two magic bows in Bitterblack, one from Cursed Weapon LVL2 and one from LVL3, but they are pretty rare pre-daimon.

The wiki generally has chest info covered, except the ones out in the Gransys overworld.

Soulflayer Canyon also has a chest in it which has a higher chance to spit one out at you though.

I did use Militant Dove first time I played magick archer. It's a good bow cuz of the healing.

Just buy Militant Dove from the Black Cat vendor. Once Dragonforged it surpasses Gyre. at 3 star gold the difference is 13. at dragonforged Dove is stronger by almost 50 magick.

Well we don't know how far Chimmey Chanka is in the game. Post-game weapons may be out of the question atm.

It's harder to enhance and is weaker until dragonforged.

Level 3 militant dove is 208. Level 2 terminal gyre is 209. Does it matter so much?

You can buy Militant dove for no effort of farming chests and hoping. and the power difference is minimal at 3 stars.

"Effort" is a strong word given how Terminal Gyre has like a 40% chance in Soulflayer Canyon's chest and around 25% from the Vault of Defiled Truth chest.

And we still don't know how far TC is yet. For all we know he's broke as hell. The Black Cat equipment is some of the most expensive in the game prior to Post-game. There are better things to spend gold on than a gimmick that's outclassed by an easily found alternative.
