SSD make a difference on long load times?
Anyone use one? I am wondering if its worth me uninstalling it from my regular drive in favor of my SSD...The load times are long for this game and when you play it a lot it really adds up.

I dont know where your issue, but 5-8 seconds from gran soren to open world are real in my pc.
You use some ENB graphical enhancement? beacause with this s**t load times take forever.

Ohhhhhh really? Yeah I do

Damn I love the way the game looks though with it on its so hard to go back. I'll switch it on and off while playing and Im like wow it makes the vanilla look like ♥♥♥♥. I'll try my SSD first and see how it goes. Thanks for the info

If it's the ENB thing I don't think SSD will help but best of luck.

Super Fetch will start caching while the game is loading and will eat up HDD usage making it even longer.
Where do you get this information? Vista and above have a concept of I/O prioritization. I understand that superfetch may read from the disk while your game's running, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will have any significant impact. Memory cached by it is also at a low priority, so you can ignore it when trying to determine your "free memory".

I've done a quick search for data, and the best I can find is a secondhand anecdote about some person who "noticed loading times were higher" with it on. Well, that and misinformed blog/forum posts talking about how memory use and disk activity are bad, without making any mention of prioritization or hinting that they understand what it means.

I would love to see some real data.

I see. Well, it's worth a try, and I'm glad you found it to help your performance in such a manner.

Takes about 3-4 seconds on my Samsung 850 Pro SSD (while Online). Don't know what the load times are like on HDD. If you plan on resting a lot, I'd go offline. Server checking takes ages.

Huh, I'm playing this off a 5+ year old HDD with the Resonant ENB and my loading times went from 5ish seconds to about 10seconds. Small price for me to pay, considering how much better the ENB makes the game (especially the night time) look.

I have a crappy 7 year old HDD and the load times are super quick, maybe 5-8 seconds?

The cause of insanely long load times is ENB, get rid of it if you want fast loads. Without ENB my load times are 2-4 seconds running two SSDs in Raid 0. With ENB? 30-35 second load screens. It looks awesome but ♥♥♥♥ those load times.

iam on ssd and using enb, the loading times i guess are not normal for a SSD, they should fix this.

but yes is better

Setting the frame rate from Variable to 60 fixed the loading times for some people. Also, if you're using ENB series v0.295 then it is suggested you update to a newer version. It is noted that version had issues with long loading times as well. It was recently updated to v0.299, hopefully it should help some of you with the loading times.

I'm running on what's close to becoming a toaster and my loading times aren't more than 15seconds with ENB running.

I dont even have time to see the load screen ever. Instant.
