Trials and tribulations?
So how do you ensure Fournival is found innocent? I've been to windbluff tower, obtained three petitions claiming his innocence, gave no evidence showing he's guilty, and he's still guilty. I was so sure I'd proven his innocence and now I can;t revert back far enough to change the verdict.

I've done everything according to that guide (except for getting the forged signatures) and according to the guide, he should have been found innocent. I know how to google.

I get Simone's, Fidel's and Father Geoffre's Petition. Chamberlain's Affidavit from Fournival's Manor, and the witness from Stone Watch. Always innocent.

I've done all of that in this playthrough, he's still guilty for some reason, which is really annoying. This was the whole point of me rushing through new game +.

Did you deliver any evident to make him guilty at all?

In his house there are both papers one of him being innocent and one of being guilty.

Did you actually give the aquittal evidence to Aldous? It does nothing having those items sit in your inventory.

You don't need any fake things. I have proclaimed him innocent even when I just did the main quests with this method. 100% works.

Nope, only the ones the guide said would prove him innocent.

Yeah, I made sure to give them to him. Still guilty.

Don't know what to tell you then, getting the 3 items and witness has always worked for me.

I pickup Chamberlain's Affidavit from his house, talk to priest in Cathedral and teleport to Windbluff Tower, pick up the escort and teleport back. That's +3 for innocence.

Yup, done all that. Still guilty. Internet suggests it's partially luck-based, so looks like I;ve been screwed by the RNG.

And get the paper from the knight in the dukes castle. Can't forget that one.

Did that too. Still no luck.
