Killing the last boss is not the best way to find Gears. Search for guides and you'll find good farming routes for rings specifically.
i am not JUST killing the boss i am looting and killing all enemys on the way ;)
If you are both Mages or Fighters for example, you have 0% change of getting an Assassin's Band.
Your pawn still matters even when it's dead. Change it to Ranger or Strider and get rid of it again. When you purify a Gear, make sure you are a Ranger or Strider. If you're an Assassin you can get rings for Fighter, Warrior and Mystick Knight too. You don't want that.
Rented pawns don't count. I think you might have gotten a ring for MK or MA since they can use Staves too. It might be the same as the Mage Band.
i am allway's getting same gear whatever i do i switched and it don't work i even saved and reloaded cople of times
If it's a regular ring (Preceptor's, Master's, etc) it will always be the same. If it's a Skill Band it will purify appropriately depending on you and your pawns vocation.
Purification results are pre-determined on a character, it's like a randomly generated seed every time you purify an item, and reloading a save will not change it. There are 3 results for all vocation-critical purifications, and 1 result for every "generic" purification (for rings, it's resistance/misc rings, for armor, it's cloaks, with a few exceptions).
It should also be said that if you get a Cursed item, purify it and don't like the results, then revert your save and discard the item, your next Cursed item will be the same again.
You have to keep purifying items in order to get new ones. If you try to retain your R.C by discarding them you'll get nowhere.
