Where are the japanese soundtrack ?
Where are the japanese soundtrack ? I played this game 150 hours on PS3 with japanese soundtrack and know it's without ? A japanese game without japanese soundtrack... really ?

Do someone know, whether it comes with a patch ? I don't buy it without japanese Soundtrack.

In some gameplayvideos I saw they could play with japanese Soundtrack. In this video on 1:20 you see it.

If you mean the Japanese dub, this has been explained in the stickied FAQ already. Capcom no longer has the rights to the Japanese audio, so it looks like you won't be buying this.

As an aside, the game originally shipped only with English audio. This includes in Japan. Dark Arisen added the Japanese dub as an extra, but the English dub is the original audio.

Hm ok, but I like the japanese voices more (in this game). It's sounds better for me. Maybe it comes a mod or something. I don't know if I will buy it.

But thanks for the answer.

Japanese companies tend to do this strange thing with licensing, where they get the rights to use something in exactly one release of one version of a game and no more. Then they have to make various workarounds and omissions when it comes time to do a rerelease or remix of the game.

This is one of few games where English voice acting is above average, so I am okay with English voice. I do miss the Japanese voice from PS3 though.
Never understood why people enjoy japanesed dubs. Do you guys understand japanese? If so, that's ok, but otherwise, how can you judge if they are actually acting better when you can't really understand what they are saying (reading subtitles doesn't count!).

Anyway, I wouldn't mind get the japanese dub option since the more the merrier, but I can't deny that I don't miss this option.

Sometimes, I like them because I can't understand them, and that makes them sound much less awkward than a bad English dub.

At the risk of quibbling (and what else would we be doing on a Steam forum, to be honest), the Japanese dub for this was not terribly good. As someone who generally prefers Japanese VA work to American or English, Dragon's Dogma is an unusual reverse.

It might be nicer than the constant.... WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS....THE HEART ARISEN, ATTACK THE HEART!

99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time I want the Japanese voices in a game that was originally in Japanese, and 10001% of the time I only watch anime in Japanese, but Dragon's Dogma actually seemed weird with Japanese voices. It's a fantasy medival type setting, having them speak Japanese sounded out of place when I tried it on the PS3 version. So, coming from someone who is HARDCORE into Japanese voice acting, I prefer DD with the English voices. It and Kingdom Hearts are the only two exceptions I have ever made to that rule.

Try Bebop in English. Big improvement over the Japanese, if you ask me.

I personally enjoy the japanese dub instead of the english. they sound better and give more emotion in my opinion~ <3 Therefore, im really disapointed they lost the rights for the japanese dub :c . Shame, but ill still keep playing.

Japanese games are better to be played with japanese dub. That's a fact!

It's just like watch animes, the english dub is way behind the original japanese dub.

Much more important than understand what they are talking (what we can do just reading the subs) is feel the moment, the tension, the rage, the sorrow, every emotion. And that, the japanese actors, in their japanese games/animes, are the best.

You understand that the game was originally dubbed in English, correct?

So, the "moment, the tension, the rage, the sorrow" that you speak of was originally portrayed by the English actors, not the other way around. Enjoy the Japanese dubbing by all means, but just know that it's the Japanese dubbing that's behind the English dubbing this time around.
