Best onehand-sword for fighter class

Is dragons dogma the best sword or is there anything else better that i can get... where?

There's only like 2 swords better than the Dragon's Dogma and they are rare finds in Bitterblack Isle from Purifying.

Bitterblack Isle has weapons for each level I believe, Weapon lvl 1 2 and 3. Don't know much about the level 2 and level 1 swords, but the best sword you can get is called Devilsbane, can upgrade to a maximum of 1848 damage.

Cursed Light, Cursed Bite. Both from the Bitterblack isle Level 2 weapon drops.

finally, Devilsbane. Strongest onehand sword weapon in the game. Only obtained by purifying level 3 BBI weapons.

The best weapons are the BBI ones. The best one depends on if you want pure physical (Devilsbane) or physical/magic (Cursed Light).

actually it does kinda work that way. Sadly though, if you get something like a 2hand sword or a Hammer, its never going to turn into a 1h Sword. BUT if you switch BOTH your pawn's vocation and your own to a pure color (no mixed vocation like the Assassin or Magic Knight) you will get the weapon corresponding to that Vocation Color.

For example, you want a 1h sword. You try to get this by switching both the Arisen and Pawn to a red Vocation (either Fighter or Warrior, doesnt matter as long as its Pure Red). Purify the BBI drop. If its what you want, keep it. If not, Godsbane yourself and try again on a different color. Sadly, though that means the BBI drop will yield a different weapon from a differing vocation but hey, at least your not sitting on 20+ 2h swords.

If all three color vocation yield something you don't want, Hire my pawn and send it to me

Next time he purifies the same cursed item he'll get the same results so that doesn't work.

No, it's actually different for every player, to a extent. When a bitter black item reaches a player it is given a few things it will ALWAYS be, based on what class the player and their pawn is.

And once player 1 gets another level 3 weapon it's going to be the exact same as the previous time he purified it but reloaded to send it to someone else.

You get a different one but his stays the same, the only way to get something else is if he discards it or just purifies it like normal.
