Sounds bad, makes me happy I don't have time to play tonight, I've seen other similar reports on the forums. I hope Capcom is on it.

What do you mean, explain your issue more? Does it say 'failed to save game' in a popup? Are you using CheatEngine and trying to save?

Try giving the exe admin privileges.

It says " saving game " or some thing like that when I save, or auto save when sleep or changing system settings.
then in the same window it says " fail to save game" then nothing.
but it's resolved, since I re-open the game, the save funtion seems fine now. I've lost around 20+ level, I'm power leveling at that time.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

Exit the game, restart Steam, and try again, I guess?

We'll, what started off as an annoyance has quickly turned into a ♥♥♥♥ storm. After a little while my steam client would not stop crashing so, I deleted steam, and all my games, and seems like both of my problems have been fixed. -__-

Huh, sounds like Steam might have been a little messed up. Glad it's sorted out now!

It will also say "failed to save game" if you run out of space on your hard drives to actually save the game data, which has happened to me. (However I was able to find the solution when I alt-tabbed as my computer let me know I ran out of space.)

POSSIBLE SOLUTION/FIX

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but this just happened to me. It has only happened to me when I've run out of space. However it isn't hardware space, but it's the number of save states that DDDA Save Manager can hold. So if it happens to you, just delete all your old save states (apart from your most recent one obviously) and that should help.

so this just happened to me. if you still around... "Save states"? where are these save states? i thought there was only one save file which is in the userdata steam file.

It's a problem with Save manager (external app that runs save back-up-ing). Must be an app specific terminology, I'd guess it means some entries of simply copies or .sav file.

external app? so like a mod? i'm not using anything external so that won't apply to me.

But i found a great thread to understand the issue in the tech issues/help subgroup: search for "game failed to save".

i think i saw you comment in it zady. although i didn't have to go into my registry. all i had to do was delete the userdata 367500 folder. then uninstall the game, then restart steam and reinstall, and restore my backed up saves.

I am guilty of alt-f4-ing. so i probably scrambled my game that way. going to give it more time after each manual save.
