edit- I should also mention that what you get depoends upon what classes you and your pawn are. If you're both mages, but you want a devilsbane sword, you'll never get one. You both need to be red classes (warriors/fighters) for that.
For advanced vocation junk, just be that vocation and have your pawn on of it's contributing vocations. For example, if you're a magic archer you could have your pawn as a strider or a mage, since magic archer is blue/yellow class.
means you still be getting boots even if you save scum :p
When did that happen? I've been getting everything I want this way. Then again, I've got red classes.
The only thing that's random is where the game puts you on the list which is either determined when you roll your character or the first time you purify something.
Anyway, the only way you can change the outcome of a specific purification is if it's vocation-dependent. You need to switch both yourself and your pawn to the same vocation color (Red for Fighter/Warrior, Yellow for Strider/Ranger, Blue for Mage/Sorcerer; don't use Assassin/Mystic Knight/Magick Archer for this) to accurately see what a given cursed Gear/Armor/Weapon will give you for that vocation type. Again though, it's not random. So saving and reloading does literally nothing except allow you to check what you'll purify for other vocation types. You only move forward on the list after purifying an item. So discarding or gifting away cursed items to try a different batch won't change the outcomes either.
Oh, crap. That sounds really familiar. Okay, my bad, I forgot.
This is very helpful to me. Thank you.
Can't wait for the chests to reset to try this. (Well... yes I can wait, but looking forward to the next BBI treasure hunt)
I think after several in-game days. Having some trouble finding how many days are needed, but if you do repeat rest, I would recommend turning Online mode off so you don't have to deal with server access messages everytime, leave the isle, then come back and see if the chest behind her has closed.
