Tentacles problem
theres a part with lots of red tentacles not too far into the game

I cannot escape from them nor can I defeat them

I dont want to cheat and read the internet guides etc

Any sutble advice or have I totally screwed up my save file by going into this dungeon ?

Subtle...err, do the opposite of fighting them. They infinitely respawn as far as I can tell.

Listen to your pawns.

Either run, or just use your infinite Ferrystone

The pawns are saying they are infinitely regening, which I gathered

most of them, mostly the large ones are too hard to take out easily

The purple crystal can teleport me but I cant find a way to use it,
it said that I can place it down somewhere and it allows me to return to that location later,
which doesnt seem like it will help me to escape

found a room with a skeleton boss in, but cant find anything critical in there, just treasure,
and a locked gate with harpies behind it but no way to unlock the gate

I've tried running away but I only get so far before I get overwhelmed ( stamina running out )

I guess I could keep drinking stamina items if I have them, ?

Taking off my metal armor doesnt seem to help with running speed

You current and max weight matter when it comes to speed it seems.
Potion of hastes also should increase you max speed.

Hmm I didn't need any weight adjustment, stamina boost or potions. I just left (IIRC). Not sure, maybe you stayed too long?

Don't go into the skeleton rooms, they are just another way of getting in and past the ogre. Just run up the path which leads to the exit. If the doors are closed, open them with a nearby lever. Just walk when you run out of stamina, they won't hit you anyway if you watch where you're going.

The ogre dissapeared, I fought him and damaged him slightly and then he ran up the stairs and I couldnt see any possible way he could have gone

improving my speed does seem to be the way to win,
I havent been managing my carry weight at all

The tentacles are regenerating, and there is no passage further into the dungeon.
Mahogany Jan 19, 2016 @ 3:54pm
You just have to exit the way you entered

It's the total weight you carry, not what you wear, that affects how fast your stamina runs out, so if you're heavily loaded, try moving some stuff over to your pawn.

And when you're running, not just here, but pretty much everywhere, make sure you stop before you run completely out of stamina and walk for a while (you'll regen while walking). It's a lot easier to escape if you run-walk-run-walk than run-stand still-run-stand still ;)

I gave all my pawns all my items, give your main pawn all the armors/weps to make yourself lighter. Then just run like heck. Only items you should have on you for that part are things that restore stamina.

If your pawns get taken down, ignore them. Just run. When you escape their dying bodies will be near you and you can revive them.

Seriously, just run.

I was able to escape when I got the weight down from Very Heavy to just Heavy, phew ...

thanks guys
